Don contacted me near the start of the development of our GoGo Gear telling me that his wife Paulette who was a bit larger than a size 4 was having a hard time finding protective gear that she liked OR that fit her for when she was riding her scooter. Don and I began a warm correspondence over the months about how we were secretly going to get Paulette a coat that she’d be thrilled with. The thing that I most marveled at about my communications with Don was his absolute commitment and love for Paulette. There was no question that Paulette is the love of his life and he’d do anything to make her happy.
What could be a better story than that?! So, I set about trying to figure out to take our coat designs and make them work for women in larger sizes. Throughout the process, many things resulted that made our coats better and better and would meet the needs of more and more women and to Don and Paulette Kincaid, all I can say is a VERY BIG THANK YOU!!!

Don and Paulette traveled all the way from Fort Wayne, IN to see the Chicago preview of GoGo Gear and were treated to a private showing of the line prior to the public viewing so that Paulette could pick out the coat/jacket of her choice and my commitment to her was that once we had our sizing complete, I would send her a sample of the coat in her size so she could try it on and let me know what did and didn’t work for her so that then we could go back and do whatever final modifications we needed to ensure we had the be st fit for women of ALL sizes. That sample will soon be delivered to her for her review.
So, to Don and Paulette… I can’t even begin to thank you for being on board so early on in this process and for truly believing that we are going to finally deliver something that will hopefully meet the needs of ALL women riders, regardless of their shape or size!

This is awesome! I saw the coats and they were amazing looking. But I thought, darn, that means I’ll have to wait until I lose weight to buy one. I love that you’re exploring fitting more than just up to a size 12 (for example).
