ScooterGirls are Flying High!

This is a belated blog! I’ve been a little busy as you might imagine but I’ve been writing along the way and this is the first of a series of “catch up” blogs that will bring you up to date on where we’re at with the launch of the ScooterGirls GoGo Gear! And so it begins…

This little boy hit me with his umbrella in the Forbidden City in Beijing because he wanted to show me that we had the same color umbrella!

This little boy hit me with his umbrella in the Forbidden City in Beijing because he wanted to show me that we had the same color umbrella!

I am flying high above the Rocky Mountains right now, en route home to LA, at the conclusion of nearly two solid months of traveling that started in China and ended in Detroit. I’ve pretty much been everywhere in between and without a doubt, I’m tired but exhilarated! It is amazing what can happen in the span of two months. Taking one look at our recently launched website, I know that our product speaks for itself and I couldn’t be any more proud than I am right now! The public response in Chicago and Atlanta AND to the website itself has been so gratifying that I am all the more motivated to continue innovating in ways never done before!

We have brought design into the area of protective gear for women, introduced longer and more functional coats, provided more abrasion resistant fabric than in any other gear, addressed fundamental problems with traditional gear, have creatively and strategically located technical aspects of our coats in places that make perfect sense yet haven’t been done before AND we’ve created what we believe to be the first ever 100% reflective, armored and abrasion resistant coat.

We have also introduced an alternative for protective gear that is strictly for high visibility for those riders who either haven’t recognized the value of full protection OR simply choose not to wear armored coats.

And finally, we’vre introduced a line of rain gear for a really cute look on two wheels while providing protection from the elements.

And this is just the beginning! The guys have been complaining nonstop that they want something just for them and so we are feverishly working on bringing something really cool under their own brand, “SCOOCH”, affectionately known as ScooterGirls’ GUY!

What an amazing journey this has been and it just keeps getting better! We are about to open a big fashion show in Los Angeles during Fashion Week in October, something that’s never been done before with a line of protective gear and we’re preparing for our official launch as an exhibitor at the Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA) in Italy in November! Given the European styling of our coats, we can only imagine what the European response will be once all the scootergirls in Europe get their first look at the line.

Never in my wildest dreams could I have predicted the things that would come from this amazing journey! And none of this would have been possible without the guidance, direction and assistance of some incredible people, all experts in the field of fashion, business and protective gear and we want to thank all of them for their contribution to our success. It is not enough to have a great idea, you HAVE to have experts who can help shepherd you through the process and we have been blessed with an abundance. It is an honor to say to them all that Safety Never Looked So GoGo Good!

I can’t wait to try on some of your clothes–was in Italy scootering through Tuscany and wish I’d had one of your jackets then– I was safe but did not look like the beautiful Italians did!

great idea can’t wait to try it!
