Hi McAuliflower! You made me smile when I read the comment about the Dracula coat!!! We’re waiting on the Italians to decide when they want it and then we’ll put it into production. Good news on the cute safe jeans! We’re just about finished with the sampling and have the most gorgeous stretch kevlar jeans ever. Hoping to have them out by Fall!

I tell ya, you’re way smarter than I was. Because of my narrow “must-have-a-vintage-bike” mentality, I went years with bikes that either A. I couldn’t kick start or B. was terrified of. It took forever for my feller to convince me to get a small modern bike. Once I did, I became a confident rider in no time. Now, I’ll ride anything with two-wheels. And go anywhere.

Congratulations on a fine selection. The right choice is the one you feel comfortable with. Can’t wait to see the next road pictures!!!

Oh! And the one-of-a-kind Dracula coat?? Prrrrr.…. that’s a beauty.

My compliments on a lovely ode to motorcycling. I know that enthusiasm well — I’ve had big bikes (1500cc Kawi Nomad) and small bikes (my current ride, a 125cc Kymco I bought in Costa Rica) and the joy they give is the common thread that ties them together.

That, and the whole two wheels thing.

You put it so well. It really is so very important to start riding on something you feel comfortable with. It’s no fun and in fact, downright dangerous to go against your instincts in this. I love my 150cc Honda and it does everything I need at this point so I really understand what you’re talking about. Keep us posted on how it’s going.

This was a great read. You hit the nail on the head…buy a motorcycle/scooter/big wheel that you’re comfortable with so you can focus on other aspects of your riding. Congrats on your motorcycle endorsement. Go “M1” !!
